Hello. My name is John Glowa and I've been raising poultry seriously
for about 8 years now (although it doesn't seem that long I can assure you!). I raised some backyard barred rock standards
before that and years before that raised plymouth rocks and bronze turkeys with my dad.
In about 2000 I was lucky enough to purchase Golden Cuckoo Marans from Bill Braden and Cari Schaffer, both members of the old Marans Breeders of North
America Club (now defunct). I've raised this variety for the past 8 years and have improved the birds dramatically.
Today I have the ONLY KNOWN LINE of yellow cuckoo marans in the country...
About 5 years ago now I decided to "go bantam" and easily settled upon
the decision to get some d'Anvers. I've never looked back! I was
able to pick up some mille fleurs and porcelains from Greg Romer, silver quails, cuckoos and various varieties here and there
when I was able to get them. After about two years I had wayyyyyyyy toooooo many varieties for me: silver quail, blue quail, porcelaine, mille fleuer, black, cuckoo, blue barred, blue mille fleur, and probably
some that aren't coming to mind right now.
Today I am concentrating on only 4 varieties of d'Anvers and have recently
begun to acquire some serama stock (eggs are also in the incubator and the
mail as I type this).
I sell eggs when available as well as started birds and am NPIP registered.
Please email me if you have any questions or would like any information.
